About
Barwon Occupational Therapy is a team of passionate staff who have extensive experience working in the specialised areas of: mental health, paediatrics, senior health & the disability sector.
The Barwon OT team have been providing NDIS-funded occupational therapy services to the Barwon region since 2013. We continue to expand our services to provide increased assistance to our growing community.
Barwon Occupational Therapy was created in 2015 by our founder Anna Treloar-Tanner to meet a significant gap in the provision of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funded therapeutic services for adults living with chronic psychosocial conditions.
We are proud to say that from one staff member at their kitchen bench, Barwon Occupational Therapy has grown and now provides occupational therapy, positive behaviour support and therapy assistant services to children, youth and adults in the Greater Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula, Surfcoast Shire, Colac Otway and Golden Plains Shire regions.
Barwon Occupational Therapy prides itself on being one of the original NDIS registered providers of therapeutic services for those living with chronic psychosocial and behavioural conditions.
Our scope of practice has also evolved and today we work with people living with physical conditions, and those engaged with other funding bodies, including My Aged Care (MAC), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and the Better Access to Mental Health (BAMH) Medicare Scheme.
